We are looking to recruit an experienced full time Systems Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen.

Primary Functions:

  • To service 2nd line incidents and requests as well as project work.  Working as part of a skilled team of engineers providing support to multiple clients of varying setups and requirements.
  • To maintain the high level of customer service to our clients whilst providing the appropriate technical resolution

Key Responsibilities:

  • To respond and service 2nd line helpdesk support calls
  • To be able to identify and solve 2nd line desktop problems
  • To escalate tickets according to process
  • To visit client site to service 2nd line helpdesk support calls when requested to do so
  • To plan and implement infrastructure projects whilst liaising with Technical Business Manager and Service Delivery Manager
  • To respond and service infrastructure incidents/requests
  • To carry out other duties as required by the role

Dynamic Edge targets London growth after key IT acquisition

Dynamic Edge has acquired an award-winning IT firm, expanding the business in the London area.

The acquisition of Waytime Technologies brings the total number of Dynamic Edge staff to 33 and creates new scope to add to our 300+ client base which spans across the UK, from Southampton to Wick.

All eight staff at Waytime, which is based in Leatherhead, Surrey, are being retained. The new premises is in addition to offices in Aberdeen, Inverness and Dundee.

Rob Hamilton, CEO at Dynamic Edge, said: “We sought a business with similar expertise, values and commitment to customer service as Dynamic Edge. Waytime is an ideal fit for us in all respects.

“In addition, it has a number of oil and gas clients in the London and Guildford areas and that was also a factor in moving forward with this deal. We’re looking to take the business to the next level.

“Dynamic Edge has grown year-on-year for the past eight years. We initially considered at the Central Belt for our next expansion but opted for the London area, partly due to its strong connection with the oil and gas industry.

“There is huge scope for a proactive IT business; one that is constantly reviewing operations and providing a number of key, managed solutions. The addition of Waytime gives us access to the south-east of England market but it also has clients in other parts of the UK. We’re delighted with the deal.”

Dynamic Edge was established in 2009 in Aberdeen and expanded its operations into Inverness with the acquisition of Alchemy Plus Business Solutions. The Bank of Scotland supported that acquisition in 2015 and has also supported the Waytime deal.

Dynamic Edge also extended its interests into Dundee in 2015. CEO Rob Hamilton moved to Surrey in August with plans to grow the business in the region and will be based at Waytime’s Leatherhead office.

Waytime directors will remain with the business as consultants and the company’s name, due to its first-class reputation in the region, will also remain. Waytime was named Business of the Year at the 2017 Leatherhead and District Business Awards.
