At Dynamic Edge we love it when our staff go the extra mile for a good cause, or twenty! That’s exactly the distance our Marketing Manager Leeza Stewart, and husband Jason travelled when they took on a unique charity challenge in support of cystic fibrosis, tied together for a three-legged walk!
After hearing of mutual friends Kerry and Chris’s four-month old baby daughter Piper being born with the life limiting condition which affects the lungs and other organs, Leeza was looking for ways that she could show support to the family and decided to embark on a twenty-mile three-legged walk with Jason from her hometown of Newmachar all the way to Aberdeen Beach to raise funds for the worthy cause.
After battling through river paths, hilly woodland, and rain, Leeza and Jason were delighted to arrive at the finish line to a welcoming party that included baby Piper and big brother Mason (4). Including a generous donation from Dynamic Edge, the pair managed to raise over £1,700 for Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which aims to research towards a cure for the condition.
Leeza said after the walk: “Walking 20 miles tied together at the leg was a difficult challenge, but it was all worth it to be able to raise important funds for the charity. Seeing Piper and her family at the end of the 7-hour trek made it all feel worthwhile, and the blisters and aches feel less sore!”
