Key Appointment as DE opens Dundee Office

DE has extended its operations in the north of Scotland with a new Dundee office.

The company has appointed Steve Smith as business development manager to lead the new operation at City Quay in Dundee. DE currently employs 28 staff across its three operations.

Rob Hamilton, chief executive of DE, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Steve to this key role for the business and to be launching a Dundee office. He will bring new ideas and additional experience to the management team across our operations.

“This is a significant investment for us, but we feel Dundee and the surrounding area is a vibrant one with great potential.”

Steve Smith said: “I’m excited at the prospect of leading the new Dundee operation and driving business development with particular focus in the Aberdeen, Angus, Tayside and Fife areas.

“I understand the needs of clients where a consultative approach to solve issues or review processes is required to assist clients to improve performance and productivity. I believe there is huge scope for DE to grow as a business.”

Steve, who lives in Carnoustie, has more than 20 years’ experience in sales having worked in various sectors, including oil and gas and IT. He was previously business manager at the Apple store in Aberdeen and more recently sales director at Aberdeen-based Minto Branding.

Earlier this month, the company appointed Stephen Laurie as general manager to lead its operation in Inverness.
